Top secret locations in London

At Kina Events we are London born and bred, and so unsurprisingly rather proud of our city. That being said, often we see the same venues mentioned and used time and time again. Which, frankly, we think is a crying shame as there are so many hidden gems in London that are sure to impress your attendees.

So this week we have compiled a list of some of the top, secret event locations in London that can help add a little intrigue and excitement to your latest event.

1. The Postal Museum, Farringdon

Situated right next to Farringdon Station, the Postal Museum has the rather rustic and urban aesthetic that has become so popular of late. Allowing for guests to explore the secret 100 year old Mail Rail tunnels as well as offering a miniature train ride. This industrial space comes complete with vaulted arches and exposed brickwork. Proving to be a stunning and powerful event space, and one which is sure to get some conversation flowing we really couldn’t recommend this enough.

2. The Stafford Wine Cellar, St James

Evocative, haunting and atmospheric this wine cellar was originally used in World War II as an air raid shelter. Before becoming home to 8,000 bottles of the world’s most fantastic wines. With space for around 44 guests, it may well be the perfect location for a more intimate affair or private party. And, of course the best place for a corporate wine tasting event that would be sure to impress clients.

3. Hawker House, Canada Water

A far larger space Hawker House has a capacity of up to 1,000 people and comes with a huge amount of flexibility. Fully equipped with removable furniture, a street food area as well as two private bars. This allows for an almost unprecedented amount of flexibility for a space in London. Proving to be the perfect event space for a larger event. Not only that but it also allows for halal catering as well as external alcohol which means that you can cater to every demographic whilst keeping costs low.

4. Spy School

If the name alone doesn’t convince you Spy School is a stunning space situated within the Royal Victoria Patriotic Building. Used as a detention centre as well as a spy school in WWII, the building boasts a range of unique and beautiful turrets, spires and towers that make this not only one of South London’s most historic buildings, but also one of the most beautiful.

5. Rooftop Dogs

This might be one worth bookmarking until the Summer, as fantastically this events space offers a rooftop venue that is available for private hire on Mondays and Tuesdays during the Summer. An incredibly rare find in London, it is a fantastic space that can also be used in the Winter, you can even call the lovely owner for more information.
